I have to admit, this is my favorite form of artistic expression. I have illustrated 35 children's books for a first reading books series, published by Barron's Educational Series from 1990-1996 and am still enjoying the wonderous benefits of royalties. They were all produced as water color and pen and ink pieces, but I would really love to do some digital art on my next book project.

Just 5 of the covers in the Get Ready, Get Set, Read Series. The download is a spread from one of my favorites: Whiptail of Blackshale Trail.
This piece was a character development for a new book idea. What is special about it is that I really realized that digital media was my preferred illustrative tool.

One of my first serious pieces in Photoshop.
This piece tied for first place in the professional illustration division at Utah County Fair in 1992. It was illustrated in acrylic and prisma color.
I think sometimes traditional media (water color in this case) and digital media make a nice blend. A greeting card concept for Mother's Day.
Digital spot art for Rushton International. Started out with sketches, scanned them, refined the lines and painted underneath.
